Our workshops and coaching tracks are built around the Storywright Method: a set of repeatable frameworks for narrative architecture, character development, and scene pacing. Whether you are drafting your first short story or revising a full-length novel, each program combines structured lessons, downloadable worksheets, annotated examples from contemporary literature, and weekly live Q&A sessions.
Every program at Storywright is built around a repeatable framework: a clear structural principle, a hands-on exercise, and a feedback loop. You choose the format that matches your current draft, your schedule, and the specific problem you are trying to solve.
A six-week track for writers starting their first short story. You map your premise into a three-act skeleton, learn scene-level escalation, and finish with a complete outline and the opening pages of a draft.
See how coaching sessions are structuredA four-week revision cycle for full-length novels. Each week targets one layer: macro-structure, scene pacing, dialogue rhythm, and sentence-level polish. You submit pages every Friday and receive margin notes by Tuesday.
Download the revision checklistA two-week workshop focused entirely on dialogue and interiority. You write from prompt scenarios, compare drafts against annotated examples from contemporary fiction, and leave with a voice sheet for each major character.
Explore the full coaching menuA single-session deep dive for writers stuck on a specific chapter or transition. You bring one scene, we dissect its tension curve, and you leave with a rewritten version and a pacing template you can reuse.
Return to the main program overviewEvery enrolled writer gets access to a live session each week. Bring your current problem, ask about structure, voice, or revision strategy, and get direct answers from the coaching team. Recordings are posted for those who cannot attend.
Browse the guide centerA one-off service for writers who need a professional read before submitting to agents or self-publishing. You receive a chapter-by-chapter report, margin annotations, and a recorded walkthrough of the biggest structural issues.
Check the feedback pass detailsEvery program follows the same path: you bring a draft or an idea, we break it down into working parts, and you leave with a revision plan you can actually follow. No vague feedback, no abstract theory — just a sequence of steps that moves your story forward.
Step 01
Send the first ten pages of your manuscript, a chapter outline, or even a rough synopsis. We read it before we meet, so the first session starts with specific notes on your work, not general writing advice.
Step 02
We map your story against narrative frameworks: where the inciting incident lands, how the midpoint shifts tension, whether the climax earns its payoff. You get a clear diagram of what holds and what needs rebuilding.
Step 03
Using annotated examples from contemporary fiction, we revise two or three scenes together. You learn to spot passive openings, flat dialogue, and pacing stalls — then apply the same lens to the rest of your draft.
Step 04
Every session ends with a tailored checklist: specific scenes to cut, characters to deepen, threads to resolve. It becomes your working document for the next pass, so you never sit down to revise without direction.
Step 05
After you've worked through the checklist, send the revised pages back. We compare the new draft against the original notes and identify what's improved, what's still loose, and what deserves a final polish.
Step 06
The last stage focuses on presentation: query letters, synopses, or self-publishing formatting. You leave with a manuscript that's structurally sound and ready for the next reader — an agent, an editor, or your audience.

No. The workshops are built for every stage of the writing process. Beginners work with short exercises and scene-level prompts, while experienced authors bring partial drafts or full manuscripts for feedback. The structure adapts to where you are, not where you think you should be.
Each module includes one weekly live session, held at a fixed time that rotates between morning and evening slots so writers in different time zones can attend. Every session is recorded and posted to the module page within 24 hours, so you never lose access to the discussion.
Feedback focuses on narrative architecture first: scene pacing, chapter transitions, and whether each beat earns its place. You receive margin notes on the manuscript itself plus a one-page summary that prioritizes the three changes with the highest impact. Line editing is available as a separate add-on.
Yes. Every worksheet is a standalone template you can apply to any story. The character arc map, scene tension tracker, and revision checklist are designed to be printed or filled digitally, and past participants often reuse them for every new draft they start.
Plan for about four to five hours: one hour for the live session, two to three hours for the exercises and reading, and a short block for submitting work. The modules are paced so you can keep a full-time job while still making steady progress on your manuscript.
You can join at the start of any module. Each module is self-contained, so you are not locked into a single cohort. If you enter mid-cycle, you receive the previous week's materials and a short catch-up note from the instructor before the next live session.
